Launching “The Flourishing Cities Initiative: Practical Solutions for a World on the Move”

Open to all Stanford faculty and staff members, affiliates, and invited guests

Please join us to launch the Flourishing Cities Initiative, which will unite researchers, municipal leaders, community partners, and policymakers around the world to create evidence-based solutions that ensure newcomers and longtime city residents thrive together.

Event highlights include:

• A fireside chat featuring Julián Castro ’96, former mayor of San Antonio, former U.S. Secretary of Housing and Urban Development, and CEO of the Latino Community Foundation, and David Holt, mayor of Oklahoma City and president of the United States Conference of Mayors;
• A presentation about our vision, programming, and opportunities for you to get involved; and
• A musical performance by Diana Gameros, an NPR Tiny Desk Concert-featured singer, instrumentalist, and composer; Carnegie Hall’s Lullaby Project teaching artist; and a Movement Immigrant Orchestra member.
